About Jane Lindsay

Jane’s passion for Homeopathy started as a result of her own son being effectively treated for a severe skin complaint as a young baby, when conventional medicine had not been successful. Homeopathy is a medicine suitable for many people & can help across a wide variety of illnesses. Homeopathy treats the “whole person” which means that two people presenting with the same complaint may receive different medicine based on their individual symptoms & emotional response to their illness.

Homeopathy was developed by Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician over 250 years ago & is based on the principle of “like curing like”. Homeopathy acts to facilitate the body’s own innate, natural healing processes. Today, extensive clinical experience, observation and research continue to support Homeopathy’s effectiveness for a wide range of complaints for Men, Women, Children, Babies & the elderly. Prior to coming to Brisbane in 2009 Jane has run a successful practice in S Wales, UK; where she had a special interest in pregnancy, children’s & mother’s health; setting up research into the effectiveness of Homeopathy in childhood illnesses.

Jane was also responsible for establishing the S Wales branch of FOCC (Friends of Chernobyl’s Children) – Providing on-going 5 year health improvement programmes for groups of children aged 7 to 12 years of age, from Belarus whose health had been compromised by the nuclear disaster in Chernobyl 1986. This gave valuable & early insight into the significant improvement and dramatic changes in health & well-being which homoeopathy can bring, even or especially in difficult social, environmental and cultural situations. Jane’s Post-Grad studies took her to India to the Bengal Allen College where she studied & worked in the slum clinics & hospitals of Calcutta for 6 weeks. In the UK Jane also set-up a pilot project to assess the impact of Vaccination on childhood illnesses & offered low cost treatment to address; developmental issues, skin complaints, allergies & other common childhood complaints which may occur around the time of vaccination.

Jane is a registered member here in Australia of both AROH – Australian Register of Homeopaths & also Australian Homeopathic Association (AHA) as well as of the Society of Homeopaths (SOH) UK. Jane speaks regularly at The Woodofrd Folk Festival & at Homeopathic Conferences & seminars. Jane also works with a unique range of Orchid Essences – “Living Tree Orchid Essences” LTOE. Weekend workshops on the Healing qualities of these vibrational flower essences also held regularly. “Homeopathy for the Home” workshops also take place to provide information & confidence for home prescribing for everyday illnesses; coughs, colds, sickness, diarrhoea etc. Courses for preparation for pregnancy, birthing & the early years with infants also take place together with workshops for travel & Homeoprophylaxis. How much does it cost? – Fee Structure – General Consultations

 New adult Appointment: $255 – Initial consultation that usually will last approximately 1hr 20 min.  This fee includes general remedies. Special remedies, tinctures, essences or supplements required will be billed separately.

Adult Follow-up Appointments: $120 – These will take 40 mins & will take place initially 2-3 weeks after initial consultation. It is important to feedback observations following initial prescriptions for any adjustments required. Further review may then take place monthly until symptoms have resolved. We request follow-up appointments  to be booked in advance as Jane gets heavily booked up.

Student New Appointment: $175.

Student Follow Up: $85

New Child Appointment: $165 – Initial consultation which will last approximately 1 hr 15 min. This fee includes general remedies & any telephone/e-mail contact between appointments. Special remedies, tinctures, essences or supplements required will be billed separately. For multiple children/ back to back appointments i.e. if parent has 2 children being seen together – sibling appointments are $75 per sibling.

“Jane came with the recommendation of one of my own clients. I was two weeks post partum with my second child and had my fourth stint of mastitis. 4) Homeopathy Quantum Medicine – Bladder & blood loss

“Just thought I would keep you up to date. I had to go into hospital on Friday to get a blood transfusion after losing blood from the bladder. This was also compromised by blood thinners (asprin and heparin) for fear of thrombosis when in ICU. I began bleeding from every insertion point, my platelets dropped so I began to bruise easily.

 The bleeding in my bladder became quite acute so that I ceased urinating. This is the time not to panic. When I came home I took the remedy for the bladder you prescribed and drank most of it over the Wednesday and Thursday. The results were quite incredible. Within 6 – 8 hours the bleeding had ceased and I began the process of excreting the blood clots. My bladder feels so robust and strong and there is no bleeding or any sign of shedding even when the bladder becomes low in fluid.

This is the second win with homeopathy under your tutelage Jane. My Hb dropped to 68 and I was desperate for blood. I had to wait almost 6 hours before the transfusion. I had 3 units (250ml each) and 500ml of albumin. I stayed overnight and on Saturday they gave me another unit of blood and an 80mmol litre bag of potassium as it was very low. I felt pretty good after all that, like a sheep that has just been shawn!

For comparison – when this happened previously I was hospitalised for 7 weeks as they tried to stop the bleeding. The first 4 weeks I had a catheter inserted into my bladder and was continually rinsed with fluid, until the bleeding showed signs of ceasing. This is such a irritating procedure for me and believe it is not the best way to cure bleeding of the bladder. The doctor then said he would like to try cortorising the bladder with an aluminium oxide solution. This burning inflamed the bladder and bleeding began again and lasted for another 3 weeks.

It has been suggested that we get in touch with the urologist but I said No Way I know how to cure this! I will write him an email and tell him how Homeopathy has now assisted me with the Fe overload and dropped most of my liver functions into normal range whilst the others remain the lowest they have ever been since surviving off the TPN.

6) Infant Testimonial – Behavioural changes, colic & constipation post vaccine

I just want to pass on my observations since bringing Florence to see you for her reflux & odd behaviour post vaccination. My Pediatrician’s advice was to discount Florence’s behaviour as being a reaction to the 12 month vaccinations and start her on Losec!! She would still be taking that if I had gone down that path. Florence has done a couple of vomits but of much smaller amounts and not as pungent. A friend commented yesterday how well she looked in the face and skin.

Most noticeable to me was yesterday she seemed to take a giant step towards her old self. I had been happy to see the distressed behaviour disappear but she has now gone one step further and reverted to her original self of being very engaging and entertaining. It was quite amazing to watch her as I thought “This is the real Flop!” It is like her brain has re- engaged.

Overnight, she has lost her ‘drunken sailor’ walk and has become much steadier on her feet. I was beginning to wonder about that ( I had forgotten to mention it to you ), as she has been walking for about three months ( started about the same

time she had the vaccination ) but was taking much longer than the others to walk without falling over.
