About John Andreadis.
John is an accredited Mental Health Social Worker, offering counselling and therapeutic support to adults. He offers counselling face to face in Bardon, or online, and specialises in holistic approaches: – those which consider the interconnected aspects of physical, mental, emotional or spiritual well being.
John’s methods in therapy draw on training and experience with:
* Somatic Therapies – nervous system regulation to reduce inner tension.
* Internal Family Systems – informed therapy – discovering different parts of ourselves, and opening to healing with compassion.
* Yoga therapy – exploring the mind-body connection
*Acceptance & Commitment Therapy – exploring what’s most important to you, and how to approach it.
What happens during a session?
Initially John will get to know you by asking about what your goals and intentions are, answering any questions you may have about the process, and collaboratively creating a plan for therapy. From here, we can talk about the topics that are most important to you, as well as making space to address any emotional aspects of your experience which need care and attention.
This process can include a deeper dive into emotional processing and expression, a problem solving approach, or sometimes simply talking through an issue to be heard and understood. John will be guided by your goals and pretences in facilitating this process.
John’s intention is that whether the session is addressing minor challenges or deeply vulnerable places, that you leave the session feeling lighter, clearer and more confident than when you walked in.
How much does it cost?
A standard one hour session is $180, and for clients with a referral for a Mental Health Care Plan the out of pocket fee after rebate is $94.80.
Can I claim on my Health Fund?
No.
