What Happens During a Session?
The first session is focused on working together to reach an understanding about where you are coming from and where you want to get to. This is also the best time to clarify any questions you may have about therapy. Fabienne focuses on working at the individual’s pace, so you can disclose as much personal history as you wish to. By the conclusion of the first session, some clear goals will help to guide the direction of therapy.
Fabienne’s therapeutic approach is based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and she has specialised in ACT for over 10 years. In addition to this, Fabienne uses a variety of other therapeutic techniques best suited to the individual and the presenting concerns.
To begin with, you may prefer to attend sessions on a weekly to fortnightly basis. Over time, sessions may occur on the monthly, depending upon preference and the demands of your schedule.
Many successful courses of therapy run for six to 10 sessions, although more complex situations may benefit from a longer period of treatment.
How much does it cost?
Fabienne’s fee is $195 per 50 minute session.
Pensioners, students, health care card holders $$180.
Payment is required upon completion of the session.
A cancellation fee of $90 is payable within 24 hours of the appointment.
