What Can Cyena Offer You?
Naturopathy
The naturopathic approach to health seeks to look at all the factors contributing to and detracting from your health and wellbeing, in order to find the path back to wellness, including:
- Stress
- Environmental toxins
- Lifestyle
- Dietary habits and nutritional quality of food
- Family health history and genetic factors
- Effects of past illness, injury or trauma
A naturopath seeks to connect the dots between your health problem and the factors that impact your wellbeing. The naturopathic prescription draws from the therapeutic benefits of herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation, diet and lifestyle recommendations to help bring you back to good health.
Homeopathy
Homeopathy is for people who want to use gentle, non-toxic, non-invasive methods of healing, and who recognize the inseparable connection between mind, body and spirit.
Homeopathic preparations are derived from plants, minerals and other substances. Through ultra-dilution, homeopathic preparations are completely non-toxic. Through a process called ‘potentisation’, homeopathic preparations can interact with the human being at an energetic level.
Homeopathy is thus a natural medicine operating at a higher vibration than herbs or functional foods. And so, people who resonate with a higher level of consciousness recognize the healing potential of homeopathy.
Using homeopathy in conjunction with naturopathy is an ideal blend of supporting the vitality of a person andresourcing the body with the building blocks that it then intuitively knows what to do with for optimal health.

What Happens During a Session?
In our first meeting, I take a comprehensive overview of
– when your presenting complaint started;
– past illness and physical trauma;
– history of medications;
– recent psychological and emotional stress;
– environmental factors which may be affecting your health;
– diet and recreational habits;
– genetic factors;
– menstrual and reproductive history, if relevant.
Blood tests will be discussed as relevant to your presenting complaint. If I think we need more information, I may suggest tests such as food allergy/food intolerance, stool analysis, heavy metals, nutrient status, hormonal levels) or a referral to your GP for further investigations. It’s important to get this background information so that causes and contributing factors can be identified, ensuring a truly holistic treatment strategy
With your health background in mind, we discuss:
– all the finer details of your presenting complaint;
– your immediate, medium term and long term health goals;
– your treatment preferences;
– how we will incorporate the recommended changes to suit your lifestyle.
I give you a verbal summary of how I see the treatment plan working over the next weeks and months, with your longer term health goals in view.
Recommendations may involve dietary changes, nutritional or herbal supplements, and lifestyle recommendations (such as certain types of exercise, mindfulness or relaxation activities). Your prescription will be emailed within 24 hours after the consult (along with your invoice). I will take care of where to source your supplements; either locally or online via my prescription service (usually next day delivery).
Naturopathy, Homeopathy or both?
If you have a preference for either Homeopathy or Naturopathy, you can let me know during the consultation. However, there is no additional charge for incorporating my homeopathic knowledge, you get two modalities for the price of one! If I see a clear indication where Homeopathic preparation may be of particular benefit, I will let you know and explain my rationale.
